Rosa moves fluidly between painting and sculpture. Originally trained in analog photography under Terry Towery, Rosa developed a lifelong love for light and contrast. Rosa built her technical sculpture foundation mentoring under John Belardo, later completing a specialized bronze program at New York’s Modern Art Foundry. This path led to a Paris residency under the artist Callum, where she expanded into oil painting and established her signature monochrome style.

Rooted in her background in analog photography, Rosa maintains an intimate relationship with light, relying heavily on contrasting atmospheric elements in a scene like light falling across a wall or shadows pooling in an empty corner. This deliberate constraint creates a palpable tension and distance on the canvas. Rosa emphasizes the absence of clear figures and the profound quiet of a scene, ultimately capturing everyday, mundane moments and places.
